Raised in Spokane, WA, as the oldest of five, Jake quickly developed a natural leadership drive. After graduating with honors from the University of Washington with a BA in Law, Societies, and Justice, he spent three years traveling through over 30 countries across Latin America, Europe, and Asia. During this time, Jake earned his certification to teach English as a second language and began teaching students worldwide. Now, at the age of 27, Jake is a 6th/7th grade teacher at a private school in San Diego. When he's not teaching, you'll likely find him surfing—ask him about the wave of his life in Indonesia!
